The Art Guitar Project

"The Art Guitar Project is a simple idea that brings joy to both the giver and the recipient. It's not about us- it's about the small things we can do that make a big difference."

About the Art Guitar Project

The ART GUITAR PROJECT was born out of experienced wood worker Todd Sigurdson's desire to use his talents to give back to the community. He decided to put his passion for music along with his guitar building skills to use by creating one-of-a-kind guitars. The finished works of art will benefit various charities that are near and dear to Todd's heart.

We hope to produce a minimum three guitars auctions each year. It is our belief that we can achieve and will likely exceed this goal thanks to the generous support of our contributors. Please take a moment to visit their website. We are exceedingly blessed and are very proud to have these companies affiliated with THE ART GUITAR PROJECT.

Future plans for the project include guitars to benefit:

Pediatric Cancer Patients
Abused and Neglected Children
Breast Cancer Awareness
Children of Fallen American Soldiers
More organizations soon

About Todd Sigurdson

Todd Sigurdson was introduced to woodworking as a teenager. Growing up in Oregon he spent years honing his skills and perfecting his craft in a cabinet shoppe just outside Portland. With a fire for guitar playing already burning, Todd was frustrated with the limited selection of quality guitars for left handed players. This led him to build his first guitar and a new passion was born.

Years later after relocating to Houston, Texas, Todd started two companies: Sigurdson Guitar Works and S & J Remodeling and Woodworking. Having gone through his own childhood and adult life struggles, giving back was not only a noble thing in his mind- it was therapeutic. What better way to put your talents and passions to good use.

“When I realized how blessed I am by the people who helped me get through tough times, I decided it was time to demonstrate my appreciation by helping others in my own small way. This has been and continues to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Thank you for all your support. God Bless.”
